Nutrition Counseling

Do you constantly struggle with making healthy eating or lifestyle changes?

Have you recently received a diagnosis of Prediabetes or high cholesterol and don't know where to start?

Whether you're someone who has a specific nutrition topic you want to address, or you need long-term counseling and accountability to help you achieve your health goals, I'd love to help.

As a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist with a certificate of training in adult weight management, I have the training and credentials to help you address many medical nutrition issues and develop a personalized eating

plan tailored to your individual needs. I believe that the foods we eat are one of the most important factors that contribute to our overall health and disease prevention. As an outpatient dietitian for a primary care clinic, I've counseled hundreds of patients on medical issues like high blood pressure, weight loss and IBS. I know from first hand experience that with the proper knowledge, coupled with a little bit of guidance, we are all able to eat healthfully and live our best lives.

I work with:

  • Weight Management (including weight Loss/Gain)

  • Vegetarian and Vegan Nutrition

  • Disease Prevention & Wellness

  • Blood glucose control (Prediabetes and type 2 Diabetes)

  • High Blood Pressure

  • High Cholesterol

  • GI Issues

  • Headaches

In each one-on-one session, I'll listen to your nutrition concerns and help you explore your relationship to food in depth. I'll work with you to develop achievable goals (that you're comfortable with), and provide scientifically based guidance on what to eat to meet your needs. I will also provide meal plans, food logs and any other handouts or materials, when appropriate.

* I have experience working in diverse settings and have counseled clients of all ages; all are welcome.

Initial session:

  • Time frame: 60 to 75 minutes

  • *Please have a copy of your labs available during this session*

  • We will discuss your medical history along with current nutrition knowledge and eating habits.

  • We'll come up with your goals for nutrition therapy.

  • Together we'll develop an initial plan to help you meet your goals. You'll leave with the resources to start putting positive changes into practice right away.

Follow up sessions:

  • Time frame: 15 to 30 minutes

  • We'll discuss progress on your goals and assess what's working, troubleshoot what's not, and refine your goals and plan.

  • I'll continue to provide guidance and education to help you on your journey to better nutrition and optimal health.
