Contrary to what our culture sells you, don't have to micromanage your food intake or shrink your body in order to be happy (....or healthy)

If You Are Like My Clients, This May
Sound Familiar...

✔️ You've tried every diet in the book (weight watchers, Keto, intermittent fasting, Beyonce's vegan challenge, etc) but they NEVER (ever) work out long term.

✔️ You’ve exhausted physically and mentally, and also sick of wasting so much time and money on harmful diets and weight loss gimmicks that do nothing for you but stress you out.

✔️ You're blaming yourself and wondering what you are doing wrong. You follow weight loss and dieting Instagram accounts and think that you are the problem, not the diet itself.

✔️ You've read all of the nutrition books and feel even more confused than when you started. You think that maybe you just haven't found the "right" diet yet. On top of that, your doctor is "worried about your weight" or "concerned about your health"encouraging you to cut out food groups and lose weight to "be healthy"

✔️ Dieting has been the default for so long that you are not even sure if it's possible to have true peace with food (spoiler alert: it is). You may be thinking that peace is possible for others but off-limits for you.

Here's What's Really Going On....

The reason you've been struggling for so long is because you are a victim of diet culture. Diet culture is a toxic belief system that equates thin to good and fat to bad. This is why so many people in this culture (especially women) spend the majority of their lives trying to control their food intake to shrink their bodies.

The problem with this approach (other than it being exhausting) is that it always backfires. Science shows that the more we restrict our intake, the more we binge. That binging leads to shame and guilt, which in turn causes even more restriction. This approach can even health negative physical and mental health consequences. Studies suggest that weight cycling (chronic yo-yo dieting) may be harmful for our cardiovascular health.

The cycle will continue unless you have the tools to break it. Through the concepts of intuitive eating, I've helped hundreds of clients break that cycle and get their life back. I can help you, too.

The good news is that there is a better way. Let's daydream for a sec...

Working Remotely

Imagine a world where you only eat what you want, not what you think you "should". Or a world where you were able to take care of yourself from the inside out, without spending so much mental energy on what you need to be eating to lose weight. Imagine a world where you weren't tempted by the latest diet crazy...even if Beyonce tweets about it. Or a world were able to spend much less time and energy focusing on how you look and shift your energy to how you want to feel.

Imagine a world where you can stop eating a candy bar halfway through because you're fully satisfied and don't want any more. Or where you could go to a party and turn down free food that is offered to you. Imagine a world where you could have dessert every single day and not feel an ounce of guilt. Or a world where you could stoping comparing your plate to whomever you are eating with, and you were able to focus on what you want and need vs what everyone else is doing.

I've helped many clients make this world a reality and I can help you too!

A Peek Into the Course

I've designed this course to help you break free from toxic diet culture

Before the course: Stuck in diet culture and not sure how to move forward

  •  Constantly bouncing from one unsuccessful diet to the next

  • Counting calories and/or macros only to end up binging on the exact foods you are restricting.

  • Being out of touch with your hunger and fullness cues

  •  Not prioritizing nourishing yourself adequately and consistently throughout the day

  • Using food as your only coping tool when you are experiencing strong emotions (i.e stress, boredom, loneliness, anxiety)

  • Trying to shrink yourself and change your body through dieting.

  • Feeling shame and guilt when you eat the "wrong" things.

  •  Food being a stressor in your life rather than something that brings you genuine joy.

After the course: What's possible with tools and support

  •  You only eat what you want to eat, not what you think you "should" eat

  • You are able to consistently honor your hunger signals and not feel like you've "accomplished" something by undereating or skipping a meal

  • You have desert every day without feeling guilty

  • You aren't tempted by the latest diet crazy...even if Beyonce tweets about it

  • You consistently eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner (plus as many snacks as needed) without a second-guessing yourself

  • You are able to stop eating a candy bar halfway through because you're fully satisfied and don't want any more.

  • You weren't stressed out about the size of your body and didn't spend your mental energy trying to shrink it

  • You are kinder to yourself, and not constantly being your own worst critic

About the Modules...

Module 1

Screen Shot 2021-09-20 at 5.59.40 PM.png
  • Contrary to popular belief, weight is not the most important indicator of health. But in this culture, dieting and weight loss are almost a way of life.

  • The problem is, if you look into the history of dieting, you will discover a dark past rooted in racism and the patriarchy. On top of that, diets are designed to fail because our bodies fight against the restriction by slowing our metabolism and causing us to obsess about food.

  • In this module, we’ll unpack why dieting is oppressive and how you can untangle weight from health. You’ll gain knowledge on why weight loss and health are not as related as you might think and how to prioritize health without worrying about the scale.

Screen Shot 2021-09-20 at 7.17.45 PM.png

Module 2

  • Giving yourself unconditional permission to eat whatever you want may feel like a stretch right now. You may feel like if you start eating your favorite treats, you’ll never stop.

  • With knowledge and tools, it’s 100% possible to eat your favorite foods and stop at a place of pleasant satisfaction.

  • In this module, you will learn the difference between deprivation binging and emotional binging (most of my clients find this information mind-blowing). We’ll also discuss what happens in your body, physiologically, when you aren’t eating enough, and how to correct it.

Screen Shot 2021-09-20 at 7.17.53 PM.png

Module 3

  • Honoring your hunger may seem simple, but there’s a lot of nuance there. In addition to physical hunger, there are many other types of hunger including emotional hunger, practical hunger, and what I like to call YOLO hunger.

  • This module will provide tools for identifying which type of hunger you are experiencing and how to navigate it.

  • We’ll also dive in on the hunger scale and how to start eating before you get hangry. After completing this module you’ll also be able to understand the difference between meal hungry and snack hungry, one of the most important concepts within intuitive eating.

Screen Shot 2021-09-20 at 7.18.38 PM.png

Module 4

  • Do you often eat past the point of pleasant fullness? Meaning, do you tend to feel uncomfortably full after meals? In this module, we will take a deep dive into both fullness (the physical sensation of satiety) and satisfaction (the mental sensation of satiety).

  • We’ll cover what to do if you are a chronic “distracted eater” ie. you constantly eat while working, watching TV or being on your phone.

  • You’ll leave with some of my favorite tools for checking in with yourself before you become uncomfortably full.

Screen Shot 2021-09-20 at 7.18.45 PM.png

Module 5

  • Emotional eating is often vilified in our culture, but it doesn't have to be. The truth is, emotional eating is a perfectly valid coping mechanism. It only becomes an issue when it’s our only coping mechanism.

  • In this module, we discuss how to identify your emotions and what to do about them.

  • I’ll share my absolute favorite tools to recommend to clients + what I use personally to help me cope. I’ll even provide a post-binge reflection exercise to help you learn and let go.

Screen Shot 2021-09-20 at 7.19.06 PM.png

Module 6

  • You can’t talk about peace with food without talking about peace with your body. In module 6, we start to dive into body image.

  • There’s a lot of room for reflection in this module, including the opportunity to reflect on your own body image story.

  • In addition to the personal reflection, we’ll dive deeper into how racism and the patriarchy have shaped how you view your body. We’ll also cover characteristics of a positive body image and concrete tools for helping you feel better about yourself.

Module 7

Screen Shot 2021-09-20 at 7.20.24 PM.png
  • One feeling that inevitably surfaces when we start to do body image work is discomfort. The discomfort of letting go of your weight loss and “body goals” while living in a fatphobic culture.

  • We’re often told that if we just lose X amount of weight, all of our problems will go away and we’ll be happy and whole. But weight loss doesn’t cure a negative body image. We still live in a culture that idealizes thinness. Because of this, it’s important to know how to sit with that discomfort and sadness once you stop actively pursuing weight loss.

  • In this module, we’ll cover everything from the stages of grief for mourning the thin ideal to tips for non-triggering clothes shopping.

Screen Shot 2021-09-20 at 7.20.31 PM.png

Module 8

  • There’s so much misinformation online (and let’s be honest, even at your doctor's office) that people aren't sure what to believe when it comes to nutrition. In this course, we dive into the science of nutrition.

  • We’ll talk about the macronutrients, how they function in the body and how much you need of each (hint: you need more carbs than anything else).

  • I’ll also provide sources for each macronutrient and my top tools and strategies for getting a balance of all the nutrients without stressing out or being triggered to restrict.

Screen Shot 2021-09-20 at 7.20.38 PM.png

Module 9

  •  Let’s be real, meal planning is often a necessity for busy people who don’t have time to cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day. But nobody wants to eat baked chicken and steamed broccoli for every meal.

  • The issue is, a lot of meal planning resources on the internet are diet-y and triggering to people who want to embrace intuitive eating.

  • In module 9, I’ll share my absolute favorite meal planning strategies that have worked for me and my clients. Contrary to popular belief, you don’t have to spend forever and a day in the kitchen to make balanced and satisfying meals.

I know you think you know a lot about being 'healthy' but just you wait until you start digging deeper into how external factors (that are sometimes wrong) feed into it.

I was having a lot of difficulties with cravings at night and I was blaming myself for these cravings as if they were somehow reflective of a lack of willpower. Understanding the science behind why I was having those cravings helped me increase my self-compassion and change my habits in a way that actually worked!”

My biggest fear before I started was that it would be focused on what I should and shouldn't be eating. It didn't come true at all! Instead, I was reminded to enjoy a variety of different types of food and was really affirmed in my food and exercise choices. I loved the focus on intuitive eating and the reminders to include variety and focus on what I ACTUALLY wanted to eat. It helped to ease my stress and the restrictions I had regarding food.
